The Erb Group Announces Greg Tuckwell as President and Chief Operating Officer of The Erb Group

New Hamburg, ON – July 3, 2024 — After celebrating 65 years as a pioneering family business in the cold chain transportation industry, The Erb Group proudly announces the appointment of Greg Tuckwell as President and Chief Operating Officer, marking a significant milestone in the company’s history and leadership succession.

Greg Tuckwell joined The Erb Group in 2018 as Vice President of Operations and was promoted to Chief Operating Officer in 2023. Greg brings a wealth of experience in both family-owned enterprises and large corporate transportation entities. His deep understanding of the industry and his commitment to operational excellence have been instrumental in navigating Erb through transformative periods and driving sustainable growth.

“My first conversation with Greg about seven years ago lasted three hours,” said Wendell Erb, Chief Executive Officer of The Erb Group. “After several discussions, Greg joined the company, bringing about significant positive changes and a fearless approach to innovation.”

Over the past six years at Erb, Greg has immersed himself in our culture, understanding our strengths and always seeking new opportunities. His leadership has been instrumental in navigating challenging times and propelling our company forward.

In his new role, Greg Tuckwell will closely monitor day-to-day operations and continue to uphold Erb’s legacy of unparalleled customer service, community, commitment, and industry innovation. He will report directly to Wendell Erb, who will continue in his role as Chief Executive Officer, remaining actively engaged in industry associations and initiatives while ensuring a seamless transition and continued success as the company looks ahead to its next chapter.

Wendell Erb, CEO of The Erb Group, shared a personal reflection on a pivotal moment in his journey. He recalled, “In 2012, while pursuing opportunities with a potential client, I faced a regulatory hurdle requiring a higher authority’s signature for an NDA. It was then my father suggested it was time for me to take on the role of President, passing on the reins.”

“As we commemorate our 65th anniversary, Greg’s leadership will play a pivotal role in shaping our future,” Wendell Erb added. “Please join me in congratulating Greg on this well-deserved promotion and in anticipating the achievements and milestones yet to come.”
