Erb Transport Partners up with Trucks for Change and Habitat for Humanity
On September 15, 2017, Erb Transport was lucky enough to take part in a life-changing project. The Trucks for Change Network partnered up with Habitat for Humanity Waterloo Region to help build homes for those less fortunate in our community. Erb Transport, along with a few other local transportation companies, was invited to send five employees to volunteer and help build these homes. Our volunteers were sent to the Home Build Site to help with construction, and had an experience they will never forget. While at the site, fighting the seasonally high temperatures, they were given a deeper understanding of what it takes to make a difference in our community. We appreciate the hard work they contributed and how their helping hands made a huge impact. Our employees also realized how necessary and important charitable work is, as too many people in our communities are struggling to stay afloat. Erb Transport and deeply appreciate the fact that we are blessed enough to have the resources and opportunities to help people less fortunate than us. Habitat for Humanity creates outstanding and essential opportunities for less fortunate people in our communities, and strives to create a better community for all. Their ultimate goal is to serve 375 Canadian families per year by 2020. Erb Transport has always put a large emphasis on charitable actions, especially within our own communities. Not only do we recognize the importance of donations of money to charities, but we also understand the importance of donations of time, effort, and support to these charities. This project and experience is something we, as a company, take very seriously and are so thankful to have been able to participate in.
