Alexandria, VA – February 14, 2025 — The Truckload Carriers Association (TCA) has revealed its first-ever TCA Elite Fleet certified carriers, naming The Erb Group a 2025 Best Place to Drive.
Developed in partnership with the University of Denver’s Transportation & Supply Chain Institute, this new initiative highlights North American for-hire truckload carriers that foster exceptional work environments, offer competitive compensation and implement innovative practices to support their drivers.
We are honoured to be part of the first group recognized in the inaugural TCA Elite Fleet Program. As a proud member of the TCA for over twenty-five years, we have greatly appreciated their leadership in education, benchmarking, and advocacy within our industry. Being acknowledged by the TCA for our ongoing devotion to our team and our commitment to operational excellence is something we take immense pride in,” said Wendell Erb, Chief Executive Officer of The Erb Group.
The certified fleets were thoroughly evaluated based on key metrics such as safety, driver satisfaction, turnover rates, compensation, benefits, quality of life for drivers, company equipment, and operational efficiency. Surveys from drivers and independent contractors were also conducted to validate the results.
Along with The Erb Group, forty-seven outstanding carriers have earned recognition as TCA Best Place to Drive certified. TCA President Jim Ward had this to say about the TCA Elite Fleets. “We are incredibly proud to announce this first class of TCA Elite Fleets. These carriers went through a comprehensive and detailed application process, had their drivers surveyed for validation, and received top scores for their combination of driver compensation, benefits, engagement, satisfaction, training, support, company equipment, safety, and facilities. These forty-seven carriers are truly Elite Fleets, and we extend our heartfelt congratulations to them. I look forward to recognizing and celebrating them next month in Phoenix.”
