Erb Group Ranks Among Top Companies for Women to Work in Transportation 2025

NEW HAMBURG, ON. – November 5, 2025 – For the fourth consecutive year, The Erb Group has been named as a Top Company for Women to Work in Transportation by the Women in Trucking Association (WIT).

The recognition was announced in Redefining the Road, the official magazine of the Women in Trucking Association (WIT), on October 29, 2025. The magazine created the award in 2018 to support an element of WIT’s mission: to promote the accomplishments of companies that are focused on the employment of women in the trucking industry, according to Jennifer Hedrick, CAE, president and CEO of WIT.

There are a number of characteristics that distinguish the companies recognized, according to Brian Everett, publisher of Redefining the Road. These characteristics include corporate cultures that champion the employment and advancement of women in trucking; competitive compensation and benefits; flexible hours and work requirements; professional development opportunities; and career advancement opportunities.

From its earliest days, women have been ingrained throughout The Erb Group and have played a vital role in shaping the company into what it is today. Building on that strong foundation, The Erb Group remains committed to creating an inclusive workplace where women are supported, empowered, and equipped to build successful careers in transportation.

This recognition reaffirms the company’s dedication to advancing equitable opportunities for women in transportation, fostering diverse perspectives across every role, and empowering individuals to grow, lead, and shape the future success of our industry.

This achievement adds to The Erb Group’s growing list of industry recognitions that reflect its ongoing dedication to its people. In 2024, The Erb Group was named a Top Fleet Employer by Trucking HR Canada and earned Elite Fleet certification from the Truckload Carriers Association (TCA) — recognizing the company as a 2025 Best Place to Drive.

“Earning a place on this distinguished list requires companies to embody the values and actions that define true commitment to attracting, retaining and engaging more skilled, qualified women as a core business strategy,” said Everett.

“The qualification process to this list is rigorous: First, each nomination is carefully reviewed to ensure it meets a minimum threshold of qualifications, and then industry professionals cast their votes to determine the final honorees. Now in its eighth year, this recognition program generated more than 21,000 votes, underscoring the depth of engagement and industry-wide support to advancing women in the trucking industry.

This year’s award recipients will be recognized at the upcoming WIT Accelerate! Conference & Expo Nov. 9-12 in Dallas, Texas. Learn more about the significance of this award and the impact behind it ici.
