Le 25 mars 2024, Nashville, Tennessee<\/strong>\u00a0Dawna Jacobsen, camionneuse professionnelle de Winnipeg, du Erb Group, a \u00e9t\u00e9 nomm\u00e9e l'un des trois Anges de la route de l'ann\u00e9e 2023 par la Truckload Carriers Association (TCA). C'est la premi\u00e8re ann\u00e9e que la TCA reconna\u00eet trois Highway Angels de l'ann\u00e9e, et ces chauffeurs professionnels ont \u00e9t\u00e9 annonc\u00e9s et c\u00e9l\u00e9br\u00e9s lors d'un d\u00e9jeuner de remise de prix qui s'est tenu le 25 mars lors de la convention annuelle de la TCA \u00e0 Nashville. EpicVue et Northland Insurance, sponsors des Anges de la route de la TCA, ont pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 les Anges de la route de l'ann\u00e9e de la TCA, et des ovations debout ont suivi chaque conducteur.<\/p>\n

L'histoire h\u00e9ro\u00efque de Dawna Jacobsen<\/a>\u00a0s'est d\u00e9roul\u00e9e lors d'une soir\u00e9e fatidique en d\u00e9cembre 2022. Dawna roulait sur l'autoroute 11 dans le nord de l'Ontario et a assist\u00e9 \u00e0 une sc\u00e8ne d\u00e9chirante. Un groupe d'amis tentait de traverser l'autoroute en motoneige, mais un gar\u00e7on de douze ans n'\u00e9tait pas arriv\u00e9 \u00e0 temps pour \u00e9viter d'\u00eatre percut\u00e9 par un v\u00e9hicule venant en sens inverse. T\u00e9moin de l'accident de motoneige, elle a imm\u00e9diatement man\u0153uvr\u00e9 son camion pour prot\u00e9ger le gar\u00e7on et faire signe aux autres conducteurs d'\u00e9viter la sc\u00e8ne, le prot\u00e9geant ainsi de toute blessure suppl\u00e9mentaire.<\/p>\n

Notre pr\u00e9sident-directeur g\u00e9n\u00e9ral, Wendell Erb, notre directeur de l'exploitation, Greg Tuckwell, notre directrice des ressources humaines, Alyssa Couvillion, et notre directeur principal des op\u00e9rations aux \u00c9tats-Unis, Kevin Erb, accompagnaient Dawna lors de la remise du prix. En plus d'\u00eatre un Ange de la route, les comp\u00e9tences de Dawna en mati\u00e8re de conduite d\u00e9fensive et sa nature compatissante lui ont non seulement valu d'\u00eatre reconnue comme Ange de la route de l'ann\u00e9e 2023 par la TCA, mais l'ont \u00e9galement positionn\u00e9e en tant qu'employ\u00e9e exemplaire. Ses actions lors de cette soir\u00e9e fatidique de d\u00e9cembre 2022 ont \u00e9t\u00e9 la pierre angulaire de sa reconnaissance professionnelle.<\/p>\n

En 2023, Dawna a \u00e9t\u00e9 reconnue comme H\u00e9ros du camion de l'ann\u00e9e<\/a> par Bridgestone et l'Association du camionnage de l'Ontario (OTA). En 2022, le programme de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 des employ\u00e9s du groupe Erb lui a d\u00e9cern\u00e9 le prestigieux prix SupErb Award<\/a> pour avoir d\u00e9pass\u00e9 ses fonctions habituelles de mani\u00e8re exceptionnelle. En outre, ses remarquables comp\u00e9tences en mati\u00e8re de perception des dangers ont \u00e9t\u00e9 reconnues par un certificat d'excellence d\u00e9cern\u00e9 par Lytx, l'un des principaux fournisseurs de solutions de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 vid\u00e9o et de t\u00e9l\u00e9matique. De plus, en d\u00e9cembre 2022, Dawna a \u00e9t\u00e9 nomm\u00e9e conductrice du mois par NAL Insurance.
